Healing through peeling away layers

Injuries to ankles and knees stopped me from running a few years back, then chronic lower back pain reduced my mountain biking and long hikes, but I am turning a corner. Wearing soft worn out trainers feels better than strong hiking boots. Wearing no shoes at all feels better still! “Go Wild” by John Ratey and Richard Manning call running shoes “foot coffins” and I totally agree. Bare feet allows the natural alignment of the body AND provides direct connection with the earth, her energy, temperature, texture, moisture…. connection with earth begins our deeper connection with self and others. This is only the beginning….
